Health Insurance Policy

I recently signed up for a health insurance policy. This particularly attractive woman had been trying to get me interested in the health insurance policy she had been peddling, while I was more interested in her telephone number. Finally, as a barter for a coffee date with me, I put my signature on the dotted line of the health insurance policy. At that time, it seemed like a win-win deal. I not only got to spend an enjoyable afternoon with a very beautiful woman, but also got myself a long overdue health insurance policy in the bargain. Maybe I should have been paying more attention to the health insurance policy than the policy seller. But how was I to know that I would need to use my health insurance policy so soon!

The need to use my health insurance policy started rather innocuously. Nearly six months later, one day at work, I managed to hurt my jaw by banging it on a filing cabinet. Nothing major was what I thought. Till I discovered over lunch that I had actually broken a tooth or two! I decided to visit a doctor or a dentist to get myself cleaned up. The first dentist I went to had a shock in store for me. He examined me and told me that one of the teeth hadn’t broken of completely and needed to be surgically removed. If it wasn’t removed in time, it would rot and also get the surrounding teeth to be rotten in a short while. While it wasn’t something to be worried about the procedure would cost upwards of two thousand dollars. I sat flabbergasted. More by the cost of the procedure than by the broken tooth itself.

But then I suddenly remembered the health insurance policy that I had recently signed up for. Boy was I glad! Not only could I use the health insurance policy to offset the phenomenal charges, I could also com out of this minor mishap looking and feeling good. With that thought in mind, I ran back to the office to contact the insurer. That was much more easier said than done! First and foremost, I had a great deal of difficulty getting through to the claims department. While the phone was continuously engaged (were there so many claimants?) my email to them went unanswered for two whole days. Finally, threatened by visions of a rotting tooth, I took my health insurance policy and personally went down to their office.

It was an utter waste of time. A pleasant enough secretary thrust a set of forms at me as soon as I explained why I was there. She didn’t even ask to see my health insurance policy. Which should have told me a thing or two, but I was eager to get back to my dentist. After having spent over three hours filling form after form in triplicate, I was sent over to the claims manager. This time around, he did ask to see my health insurance policy. And calmly told me that dental surgery wasn’t covered. I sat shell shocked. But it was true. Buried in all the fine print, there was a statement testifying to that fact! I demanded to see the agent who sold me the health insurance policy in the first place. Turns out she was so successful at selling policies to people like me that she had been promoted to a manager of her own branch and was now based in Europe! So the thing to remember when you sin up for your health insurance policy I to read the fine print!

No Medical Insurance

Life can come at you fast. It’s simply impossible to know what’s around the corner. This is why we all have to take necessary precautions. In other words; do you have health insurance? Some people actually have no medical insurance whatsoever. This is completely absurd in the unpredictable world we live in. That random fall or dreadful car accident could happen today. Are you prepared to grapple with those hospital bills? The fact is, medical insurance is just an inevitability of life. You always want to have it just in case. If the time does arise when you need it, you will thank God you planned ahead.

I heard a story recently from an acquaintance of mine who has no medical insurance. She never expected to use such a thing. Sure, maybe dental on occasion, but never medical. I mean come on, the girl’s only 23 years old. What could happen? Well, this is what happened. She manages a truck stop, and while conversing with an employee one night, a brute strolls in with a nasty temper. Before she knew it, the employee she was conversing with is being attacked by the brute. Now, when she decided to intervene and be the hero, she was stabbed in the shoulder. Wow, what a reality check. You try and do the right thing, and life smacks you in the face. Now comes the problem with having no medical insurance. After being hospitalized for a couple weeks, her medical bills are now around 30 grand. However, this is not the end of it. She still has to go through physical therapy; not to mention the mental anguish of almost dying. How much will the psychiatrist charge? The point is, you simply can’t know what’s in store for you. Life is so random for us all. I wanted to use this girl’s recent story as an example because it’s true. Sure it’s sad, but still reality.

These days, no medical insurance equals trouble down the road. Even a minor hospitalization can set you back for a long while. The problem is that most of us don’t believe that we will ever use it. Get rid of your fantasies and purchase a decent medical insurance plan today. Don’t end up in the emergency room with no medical insurance. If nothing else, insurance offers you piece of mind. Although I have not used my medical insurance yet, I understand I may need it in the future. I choose to be prepared for what lies ahead.

American General Insurance

From car, to property, to medicine, to life, it is important to be well insured in all aspects of your existence. Since getting American General Insurance, I have been pretty happy with my safety, but then again you never know. American General life insurance is not the first insurance that I have tried. I live in a house with several generations of my family, and we all believed in getting adequately insured to take care of ourselves. My great uncle did not have  American General Insurance, but did have coverage from what seemed to be a respectable insurance company with a good reputation.

However, when my uncle died of cancer, the life insurance went null and void. Although they made it seem like their life insurance was meant to cover every possible circumstance, in fact it did not. Because his death was of natural causes, even though it was an early death, we did not receive any benefits when he died. Because he was the chief source of income for our household, we all suffered greatly when he died. Before I signed up with  American General Insurance, I consulted a lawyer to make sure that the terms were air tight. It seems that American General Insurance really does provide a high standard of coverage did help set my mind at ease.

Of course,  American General Insurance is not really for everyone. The purpose of life insurance is to provide a safeguard in case the breadwinner of the home dies in an accident. If you are living on your own, or are of independent means, you really are unlikely to have any need of  American General Insurance at all, so you should really think twice before paying for this unnecessary service. Although  American General Insurance is not overly expensive for what it is, it still can cost a pretty penny over the long run, so if you have no need of it, why bother to pay all of that extra cost?

Beside  American General Insurance, you must also find some suitable coverage for your car. Buying auto insurance is even more important than life insurance for most of us, and there is such a huge difference between the different providers, that a great deal of research is really required. Some of them are many times more expensive than others, so you should make sure to get an affordable auto insurance provider.

Life Insurance

Life insurance is one of those things that could be seen as an extra expenditure that you really might not need. Right? We can always find somewhere else for that money to go, and the truth is, we may not really give it much thought until we have a family and start accumulating assets. Life insurance is an insurance policy, just like our auto or homeowner’s insurance, which provides us with extra assurance that if something happens we will be covered financially. In the case of death, life insurance allows our family to take care of our end of life needs, such as burial or cremation at the least, and more depending on how much coverage we purchase.

Since we live in the age of credit purchases, we carry a considerable amount of debt through our working years. We have a mortgage and car payments, as well as personal loans, credit cards, and student loans, just to name a few. Most companies offer their employees some type of life insurance coverage that can be purchased at a reduced group rate. It may be a small amount or it may be twice your salary, it just depends on your individual situation and which options are available to you. Many people opt to buy life insurance through their personal insurance agent for added insurance which can be purchased for varying amounts of coverage. . This will allow the surviving spouse or family members to cover burial expenses and any other outstanding debts of the decedent. Amounts of coverage vary and chosen based on what the individual would like to provide his or her survivors.

Premiums are based on what type of policy is chosen and the age of the person seeking coverage. We are always getting offerings in the mail for a reduced rate policy if we act now, and frankly, all those terms can be somewhat confusing. What is the difference between a whole life policy and a term policy? A term policy is just that; you are purchasing a certain amount of life insurance for a specified term, usually twenty years. The premium stays the same throughout this time period and does not build any type of cash value. Whole life insurance policies on the other hand, do build cash value, and can be borrowed against, or cashed in at various stages throughout the policyholder’s whole life. Some policies require a physical exam and medical history questionnaire to be completed before coverage can be instated. Smokers traditionally pay higher premiums as well as people with chronic illnesses, such as high blood pressure or diabetes.

Life insurance is a good idea, especially if you don’t want to leave your family high and dry facing bankruptcy because they can’t make ends meet without you. There are many companies that specialize only in life insurance, and local insurance agents that can help you clarify exactly what you need. And the older you get, the more it costs, so if you’re considering a term policy, better buy it while you are young!

Health Insurance

Because the costs associated with medical treatment are so steep, it is important for most people to have a good health insurance plan to ensure that they will be able to afford any medical aid they may need.  Even in good health, sickness and injury can come to anyone unexpectedly.  A trip in an ambulance and a stay in the hospital can easily bankrupt all but the wealthier members of society in no time at all.

Health insurance works like most other kinds of insurance.  Members pay an ongoing fee, usually on a monthly basis, and are then eligible to have the costs of certain agreed upon medical treatments covered by the health insurance company should they be deemed necessary.  Most medical insurance companies today require that their members have what is known as a primary care physician, or PCP, and it is this physician that determines if the patient needs treatment.  This has become an important societal issue in many countries, especially the United States, because the pressure a health insurance company can have on a primary care physician can often influence his or her ability to provide effective care.

Many businesses offer benefits packages to their employees that includes a plan with a health insurance company.  At one time these sorts of benefits packages were a standard in the business world, and any employee could expect quality medical and dental coverage.  In today?s globally competitive business world, the high costs of these packages is causing them to be more scarce.

Sometimes employees have the option of taking a significant cut in salary to receive a health insurance benefit plan from their employer.  Because health insurance companies often give special rates to larger organizations, this is still a viable and often used option by many employees of businesses that offer such an arrangement.

Unfortunately for many, their employers do not offer any health benefits at all.  Additionally, many people are self-employed or without work all together.  These individuals are forced to face the high costs of the individual plans offered by health insurance companies.  Since many cannot offered these fees, health insurance has become a hot button political issue in many countries including the United States.  Some argue that there should be a national, or at least statewide health insurance plans that offer at least some minimal coverage to all citizens, ensuring that no one in need is turned away from receiving vital care.  Some more socialistic nations have already adopted such programs, though with varying success.

Whether or not the United States will ever adopt such a plan is anyone?s guess, though one thing is certain; health insurance will remain an important and controversial issue for decades to come.

Life and Health Insurance

Have you ever considered investing in life and health insurance? It truly is imperative that everyone understands what this means. We all need health insurance just in case something should arise. For example, have you ever broken your arm, gotten severely sick, or even had a stomach ulcer? Well, chances are you may never suffer from any of these afflictions; but how can you know for sure? This is where life and health insurance come in handy. The fact is, the future is rather unpredictable and we simply have to prepare ourselves for the worst.

Recently my wife and I invested in quality life and health insurance plans. We both want to be prepared just in case something should occur. Life insurance is essential if you have a family. If something were to happen to me, I would know that my wife and children would be taken care of. It’s truly that simple. Imagine you were in a car accident. We all know that this can and does happen every day. Well what would your spouse or family do to get by without your income? Would they be in debt up to their eyeballs? This is something to take seriously. We all want our families to be safe from harm. I took out a life and health insurance policy that covers this dilemma. Now, if I suddenly get sick and have to be hospitalized, I don’t have to worry about the enormous bills and how to pay them. In addition, if I met my demise at a premature date, my wife would be taken care of.

With life and health insurance you basically erase that uneasy feeling of, what if. Sure, it’s not extremely likely that you will be unable to ever work again starting tomorrow, but what if it happened? Do you have a decent life and health insurance policy to kick in if it does? After exploring the many life and health insurance policies available today, my wife and I were able to find one that suited our needs and income. With our current life and health insurance policy we can easily afford the monthly payments. The truth is that life and health insurance are a crucial part of life these days. While none of us care to imagine the worst, it is always prudent to be prepared in the best possible way. Hop online today and check out some of the quality and affordable life and health insurance policies at your fingertips. You can never be too safe.

Buy Health Insurance

There are presently 45 million Americans that do not have health insurance.  Are you one of them?  There are many reasons why people do not buy health insurance.  The number one reason and most obvious is the cost.  However the cost to you and your family if you do not have insurance and are struck down with a major illness may mean complete bankruptcy.  Another leading reason why people do not buy health insurance is when they switch companies and have a pre-existing condition.  Often times a new company will not insure a person that has been diagnosed with a disease or chronic condition because they are considered a high use risk.  Even though companies want you to buy health insurance they do not necessarily want you to use it.  There are many alternative programs in most States in the United States that offer plans to people that have been denied insurance due to a pre-existing condition.  These are not always well publicized but certainly worth looking into if you or a member of your family fits into this category, and not an option to overlook as you buy health insurance.

There are many companies and options to buy health insurance.  Most of the major companies offer a free on line quote. Many of these companies also offer to provide comparisons for various plans within the company and also will compare the price of similar plans to their major competitors.  The comparisons usually look at the type of deductible you are willing to pay as well as co-pays.  A major flux in price from one plan to the next is whether or not prescription medications are covered or offered at a reduced rate with co-pay.  Prescription coverage may not be necessary when you buy health insurance if you or your family members are not prescribed daily medication.  The elderly that are more likely to have prescribed medications, have Medicare options to cover this area, so this is not as important of an issue for them when buying supplemental health insurance to pick up where Medicare ends. If you decide to have a price quote done it is important that you fill out what state you reside in when filling out the information for United States Citizens because at this time you can only buy health insurance from providers from the State you reside in.  There is a bill in legislation at this time trying to amend this policy; however there is not a great deal of support for it.  The state of Massachusetts is trying to pass a law that it be mandatory for all residents of that state to buy health insurance or face penalties, similar to the mandatory laws to have car insurance.  The main debate with this type of legislation is what is affordable to one household is not affordable to another.

The crisis of millions of Americans without health insurance is costing tax payers millions of dollars annually.  Individuals and families need to be protected so buy health insurance.  If each person does buy health insurance the over all costs for everyone will decrease, because those with insurance do not have to pay higher cost for premiums to pay for the costs of those that do not have health care coverage.

Affordable Health Insurance

Affordable health insurance is a topic that politicians love to debate about. The slowness of the economy and rising prices surrounding the nation have not been too good for the health insurance industry. In fact, finding affordable health insurance can be not only a challenge to some people, but an absolute nightmare as well. If you’re lucky enough to work for a company that offers health insurance of some sort, you may not have to worry about finding anything else. However, if you work part-time or are in need of health insurance, you may find yourself up against that challenge.

Everyone has their own idea of what affordable health insurance is, but yet, everyone wants the best coverage. Depending on your age, your health and your habits - you may end up paying far more or far less than someone else that you know. A neighbor may have gotten insurance through a certain company for incredibly cheap. You head to the same agency assuming that you can get the same rates. They take into consideration the fact that you smoke and are a few years older and you suddenly get a quote that is twice what he’s paying. It doesn’t seem fair.

Your best way to find affordable health insurance is to shop around. You can’t expect to call the first place you find and get the very best deal. You should get at least three different quotes from different companies. Depending on what you’re focusing the most of receiving - a low deductible, low co-pay for doctor visits or prescription plans, you can find exactly what you’re seeking as long as you’re willing to be patient and perhaps a little bit flexible. You might find that you have found a great price for a package but your current doctor won’t accept your new insurance. You have to decide if you want to change your doctor or your package. Little decisions like that can have a major impact on the prices that you will pay.

You could scour the internet looking for sites that will allow you to compare varying companies or trying to sell you their packages, but it could end up being incredibly confusing. If you are able to find an insurance broker that is local for you, they might be your best solution. The broker can listen to what you want to find and search several different companies until they find affordable health insurance that will suit your needs. If you happen to find a site online that allows you to compare various companies as well, you will soon have several individuals calling you to get you to buy whatever package they’re selling. They might have something absolutely perfect for you or they may just end up harassing you for days until you finally speak to them. But, shopping around and getting the best quotes are in your best interest. Finding a local broker and putting them to work for you may also be a very wise decision in finding affordable health insurance.

Maternity Insurance

For any woman, the period of pregnancy is probably the most important phase of her life. This maternity phase brings with it a great amount of joy, anticipation and expectation. But this period can also be characterized by doubts, unease and worry. These negative issues could be compounded if financial burden has to be borne by the expectant mother. While most women in western societies nowadays have Medicaid and other such benefits, it is also crucially important for them to go in for insurance, and more specifically maternity insurance.

Most expectant mothers assume, and very conveniently at that, that their maternity expenses will be covered under their Medicaid. But god forbid, their pregnancy happens to be complicated, they might come in for a nasty surprise. For even if the complications are ironed out and the mother and baby are fine, hale and hearty, the crippling medical costs might not be covered under their medical benefits scheme. This is where maternity insurance comes into the picture. Maternity insurance, like sever other event specific insurance policies, is a way to prepare oneself  to tide over any unexpected expenses during the maternity period. By paying a few dollars upfront, mothers and their families can rest assured in the knowledge that if, by chance, something goes wrong with their pregnancy and unforeseen complications arise, they will have the financial means to take care of it.

A typical maternity insurance plan covers most eventualities. To take a simple instance, let us consider the case of premature birth. A baby thus born will have to spend a couple of week or even months in an incubator. While Medicaid will not cover such expenses, a good maternity insurance policy will. Thereby preventing undue strain on the already worried and strained parents of the baby. Or to take another example. A mother might go in expecting a normal delivery. But unforeseen complications might warrant the use of costly epidurals or even c-section surgery. Even if these are not covered under her existing medical plan, a maternity insurance will happily cover them all.

A maternity insurance thus is more than a mere formality. It can prove to be a life-saving policy that work during tricky situations. With the number of insurance companies proliferating in the market nowadays, it will not be difficult to get hold of a good maternity insurance policy. However, when choosing a maternity insurance policy, care must be taken to ensure that it covers all the eventualities. Most plans do, but when it is a question of a maternity policy, it pays to be extra careful. And people nowadays no longer harbor any sentiment about insurance. Especially when it comes to maternity insurance, being prepared can spell the difference between life and death, not only of the mother, but the baby as well.

Life Insurance

Many people find themselves wondering if they need life insurance or if they have enough life insurance. How do you know? Generally, if someone has a financial need and they depend on you to meet their need, you should consider life insurance to help protect them if you can’t. Life insurance will continue to provide for those needs even after your death. It can help meet daily living expenses, housing and education expenses for your family. Life insurance benefits are not taxable by federal income tax.

Most people need life insurance. Many married couples depend on two incomes to make ends meet. Losing one income can have a devastating impact on lifestyle. Having life insurance can minimize that impact. Single parents also need to consider having life insurance. The single parent has a huge responsibility. Even more that others, you should have life insurance to safeguard your children and make sure that they will be financially taken care of if you no longer can.

Sometimes, people are a stay-at-home mom or dad. Because they do not bring an income into the home, they feel that life insurance is not important for them. Consider the financial impact you have in the family. If you were not around, childcare, cleaning, transportation and other care giving activities would have to be taken care of with paid household help and childcare. Would your partner be able to afford this in your absence with out the benefit of life insurance?

Life insurance is also important even once your children are grown or you are retired. Life insurance allows you to leave money available to take care of the expenses you leave behind so your family does not have a financial hardship to face in addition to the personal loss of your presence. For those who own a business, having life insurance can insure that the business is able to keep alive even in their absence. Even single people can use life insurance. For the single person, life insurance can pay off debts or help aging family members with their expenses.

Life insurance comes in many forms. Some are designed as investment plans. Some are term plans that expire after ten, fifteen or twenty years. The monthly cost on each plan will vary based on your age and medical history as well as the type of plan. A life insurance agent can help you choose the plan best for your needs, medical condition and budget.
